Halia Alabaster Linear Pendant Lamp

SOLID ALABASTER · COGNAC LEATHER-LOOK STRAPS · INTEGRATED LED · 3000K WARM · 3 SIZES · HARDWIRED

A solid alabaster bar suspended on cognac leather-look straps — a linear pendant for the dining table, glowing softly from within

Halia is a linear pendant built from a single solid alabaster bar — translucent stone with fibrous veining that glows warmly from within when the integrated LED is on. The bar is suspended on two cognac leather-look straps anchored to matte black ceiling canopies, giving the silhouette a quiet, architectural lightness.

Available in three lengths (80 / 100 / 120 cm) scaled to dining tables and kitchen bars. Hardwired with integrated LED in 3000K warm white — calibrated to draw out the amber undertones of the natural alabaster. Each strap adjusts up to 1 meter for custom hanging height.

About the leather-look straps. The cognac brown straps are PU leather-look — not genuine leather. We chose this approach to keep Halia at an accessible price compared to genuine-leather pendants, while still delivering the warm tonal contrast against the alabaster. PU leather-look is also more stable than genuine leather over years of suspension — it holds shape, doesn't darken or crack with humidity changes, and requires no conditioning. The alabaster itself is solid natural stone.

FIXED · INTEGRATED LED
3000 K Warm White
A single warm-white setting calibrated for dining ambience — bright enough to read a menu or chop vegetables, soft enough to linger over wine. The 3000K tone reads naturally through cream alabaster, drawing out its amber undertones rather than flattening them. Integrated LEDs are factory-set and rated for ~50,000 hours of service. Bulb is not user-replaceable.

Adjust your drop height

LEATHER-LOOK STRAPS · UP TO 1 M / 39.4″ ADJUSTABLE
Set the perfect height for your table
Each strap is up to 1 meter (39.4″) long, with the slack tucked behind the canopy at installation. Your electrician can shorten the visible drop to anywhere from 12″ to 39″ — perfect for ceilings from 8 ft to 12 ft. Standard recommendation for dining tables: hang the bottom of the alabaster bar 30-36″ above the table surface. For kitchen islands, 30-32″ above the countertop.

How to size for your table. The pendant should be roughly half to two-thirds the length of the table or counter below it. For a 60″ dining table → 80 cm pendant. For a 72″ table → 100 cm. For an 84-96″ table → 120 cm. For tables longer than 96″, look at our Forma Walnut Linear Pendant or pair two Halia pendants in tandem.

Installation

HARDWIRED · LICENSED ELECTRICIAN REQUIRED
Two Ceiling Canopies, One Junction Box
Halia uses two ceiling-mount canopies — one oval canopy houses the wiring connection (line, neutral, ground to a standard 4″ junction box), and one round canopy serves as the second strap anchor (decorative, no wiring). Your electrician will install the canopies at a spacing matching your chosen size: 80 cm for Size S, 100 cm for M, 120 cm for L. Both canopies must be anchored to ceiling joists or solid blocking, since each strap supports half the fixture weight (~2-3 kg / 4-6 lb total).
Renovating your dining room or kitchen? Halia is best installed during electrical rough-in, when the second canopy spacing can be planned exactly. For retrofits, your electrician will need to add a second anchor point at the appropriate distance from the existing junction box — typically a 30-60 minute job for the second mount.

Frequently asked

Are the straps real leather?
No — the cognac brown straps are PU leather-look, not genuine leather. We chose this to keep Halia at an accessible price, and because PU leather-look is more stable than genuine leather under permanent overhead suspension — it holds shape, doesn't darken or crack with humidity changes, and requires no conditioning. The alabaster bar itself is solid natural stone (not faux). If you'd prefer genuine leather, message us — we offer custom upgrades on select fixtures.
Why is the LED warm white only?
3000K warm white is the temperature that flatters food, faces, and natural alabaster best — it draws out the cream stone's amber undertones rather than washing them out. Cooler temperatures (4000K and above) would flatten the alabaster's natural warmth. We chose a fixed 3000K rather than a switchable tri-CCT to keep the fixture simpler — no remotes, no wall-switch cycling tricks, just one reliable warm light when you flip the switch.
Which size fits my dining table?
As a rule of thumb, the pendant should be half to two-thirds the length of the table or counter below it. For a 4-person dining table (about 48-60″ long), choose Size S (80 cm). For a 6-person table (60-72″), choose Size M (100 cm). For an 8-person table (84-96″), choose Size L (120 cm). For round tables, the pendant diameter is less critical — pick the size that's about 12″ smaller than the table diameter.
Can I dim Halia?
Yes — Halia is compatible with most Triac-based wall dimmers (the standard residential dimmer in North America). Smart dimmers (Lutron Caséta, Leviton Decora Smart) work as well. The integrated LED dims smoothly across the standard range without flicker. Test compatibility before final installation.
How high should I hang Halia?
Standard recommendation: hang the bottom of the alabaster bar 30-36″ above the dining table surface, or 30-32″ above kitchen island countertops. For 8 ft ceilings, this typically means using about 12-18″ of strap drop. For 9 ft ceilings, 18-24″. For 10+ ft ceilings, you can use the full strap length. Your electrician will trim the visible drop during installation to your preferred height.
What if the leather-look straps need cleaning?
PU leather-look is the easiest of all leather variants to clean. For dust, wipe with a soft dry cloth. For light marks, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap (a drop of dish soap in warm water) restores the surface. Avoid alcohol, ammonia, bleach, or leather conditioners — these can damage the PU coating. The straps should look new for years of use.
How do I clean the alabaster?
For the alabaster bar, only use a soft dry cloth or slightly damp cloth — never use acidic cleaners (lemon, vinegar, bleach) or abrasive sponges, which will permanently etch the natural stone surface. The alabaster ships pre-sealed; light dusting with a feather duster between meals is all most owners ever need.
Can I install Halia myself?
We recommend installation by a licensed electrician for all sizes. The wiring connection itself is straightforward (line, neutral, ground to a junction box at the oval canopy), but Halia requires two ceiling anchor points — one with a junction box, one without — at the precise spacing for your chosen size. A professional electrician will get the spacing exactly right, level the bar during installation, and ensure both anchor points are secured to ceiling joists for long-term stability.
Why does my alabaster bar look different from the photo?
Alabaster is a natural translucent stone — fibrous veining direction, tonal warmth, and translucency vary between every bar we cut. The photo shows a representative example, not the exact piece you'll receive. Most customers tell us their actual stone is more striking than the studio photo.
Is Halia certified for North America and Europe?
Yes. It holds certifications compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia and operates on AC 110–240V worldwide.
